About the event
TAKE A MOMENT TO SLOW DOWN AND EMBRACE YOUR CREATIVITY!
We’ll begin our time with a relaxing tea to quiet our minds and let go of our worries.
After savoring our tea and light tea refreshments, we’ll warm up with the essential basic fundamentals of calligraphy and practice creating a collection of serene tea words and phrases. This will enable you to craft your own hand-lettered artwork, serving as a gentle reminder to pause and be fully present in your everyday life.
Local artist Katie Brinkley will guide you as you learn the basics of dip pen calligraphy. Attendees will get practice paper and lettering pages, pen, two different nibs, and ink. The class will go over the basics of using a calligraphy pen and ink, info about types of pens and ink, and time to practice lettering. At the end of the class, you get to take home your supplies…
