This artwork collection evolved from my seemingly never-ending search for a niche with smaller artworks. I can do murals - I LOVE murals - and I regularly have ideas for murals, but no wall to paint them on.

I am approaching the artworks in this collection just like I do murals. These images may one day find a wall to be painted on, or the concept adapted to a specific wall, or perhaps someone wants the original artwork on canvas or a print instead of a wall mural.

Bay Buffet

The ultimate representation of the Chesapeake Bay and has all the elements that note "Maryland". A crab boat on the Bay at sunset and seagull soaring in the breeze splits the scene with all the crab boil ingredients brought to the Bay. Blending quintessential and quirky!

Vertical wall space that wants a bold and eye-catching nod to Chesapeake Bay. This mural concept can be adapted for a horizontal wall space as well by adding additional elements to the overall image.

Stacked For or Against?

A painting to make you think! Is it just silly and fun? Are the animals helping each other catch a prize? Or are they unknowingly living the woes of modern life -- reaching for what seems fun but is harmful after all? Is it highlighting the effects of humanity on our fragile ecosystems like the Chesapeake Bay? .... You decide.

Mural wall candidate:

I envision this as a mural without the background -- just the balloon and animal subjects. A narrow, vertical wall space, which could accommodate buildings with windows or other elements that may be in the way for other designs. A particular bonus would be a tall, two-story or more building to add to the element of fun by enabling the subjects to be hugely larger than life.
