The story:
Emergent Blossoms captures the feeling of early spring and celebrates seasonal renewal as an American robin takes flight amid a cascade of cherry blossoms.
 
The painting draws inspiration from the Art Nouveau style, weaving flowing lines and patterns alongside branches and petals of spring’s beloved cherry blossoms. The robin, caught mid-flight, is a symbol of emergence, of the world stirring back to life after a long winter. The blossoms echo this theme as they decorate the air with delicate pinks and creamy whites in their brief moment of bloom.

My inspiration for the painting comes from reference photos I took on a walk around the Tidal Basin in D.C. in March a few years ago, paired with my fascination with the Art Nouveau graphic style.
