Born and raised in Clifton, Texas, a small community with big art influence, Katie has been impacted by art all her life and naturally felt drawn to creative outlets. Her professional background is varied, with a first career as an orthotic and prosthetic clinician for 12 years. She transitioned away from clinical practice here in the U.S. in 2021 to focus more fully on art and leads an international nonprofit, Prosthetic Promises In His Name, providing prosthetic services in Zambia.

Katie is a multidisciplinary artist with an emphasis on indoor and outdoor murals, acrylics, and mixed media with focus in figurative subject matter. Since 2014, she has focused on painting site-specific murals that seek to create unique connections with visual art for viewers. Her experience with commissioned murals and public art projects ranges from private homeowners to businesses, governmental entities, and nonprofits, to community organization public art projects.​
